Beethoven: Symphony No. 4 - Weber: Overture from Oberon - Wagner: Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde & Parsifal's Karfreitagsmusik (Live)

The eagerly awaited biopic about Sergiu Celibidache, starring John Malkovich and Ben Schnetzer in the lead role, is finally hitting British screens this week! Co-directed by his own son, The Yellow Tie explores the maestro’s turbulent life and his complex relationship with his father, who stifled the young Sergiu’s artistic aspirations. This gives us the opportunity to revisit his admirable discography, particularly his legendary concerts conducting the Münchner Philharmoniker, with their daring tempi. An almost mystical experience that never fails to captivate.
