Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18 - Franck: Symphonic Variations for Piano and Orchestra

Karajan and Weissenberg held each other in high regard and greatly appreciated one another, as evidenced by their numerous joint achievements. Here we find them performing  major pieces from the Romantic repertoire including the only recording by Karajan of Rachmaninov's concerto No. 2.
