Paavo Järvi and the Orchestre de Paris share a long common story, started in 2004 at the Théâtre Mogador and continuing up to this day, with the Estonian conductor carrying out a six years-long tenure as artistic director in the 2010s. Järvi’s mandate was considered an outstanding achievement by the musical milieu, both in terms of repertoire choices and technical qualities. Recorded live at the Salle Pleyel and at the Philharmonie (residence hall of the Orchestre de Paris) and highlighting masterpieces of the French repertoire, these recordings bear witness to the conductor's commitment to one of his favorite orchestras.
