Góreccy - The most beautiful birthday present for Henryk Mikołaj Górecki!
The album Góreccy is a bridge binding together the artistic work of two generations of a unique musical family. Henryk Mikołaj Górecki would have turned 85 last December. To honor this anniversary, Warner Classics presents an exceptional album featuring Sinfonia Varsovia, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki’s daughter, Anna, and son, Mikołaj, in a showcase of amazing talent and artistic passion.
The repertoire contains two world premiere recordings: Orfeo and Euridice by Mikołaj Górecki and Two Tristan Postludios and Chorale Op. 82 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki (orchestrated by his son), combined with Little Requiem for a Certain Polka Op. 66 by H.M. Górecki. In this last piece the soloist part is performed by Anna Górecka.
