Alfred Cortot Plays Beethoven, Schubert & Weber

Alfred Cortot was a great Beethoven performer, yet the recordings are quite rare and therefore all the more precious! This collection includes a few pieces recorded at the very end of his life, coupled with isolated works by Schubert (notably the lieder Litanei, which he loved particularly, and adapted for solo piano) and Weber’s second piano sonata.
