Affettuoso (Handel redesigned)

This is a very light and sparse piece that draws inspiration from a violin sonata by Georg Friedrich Händel. Cipa takes pieces of the figured bass accompaniment and reassembles them into a very modern sounding piece of music, with no new material added to the piece. It’s only the combination of these chords that create a very emotive and affectionate piece. It was recorded on a historic PH grand from the 1930s.
