As Wolfgang Sawallisch’s centenary is approaching (August 26th), we will highlight some of his major recordings from the Romantic repertoire, which he was a great specialist. The Dvořák renditions taped at the end of the 80s with the Philadelphia Orchestra (which he would become the music director soon after) are celebrated references.
