Mother Teresa

From the composer: "...the eye of this artist saw through [Mother Teresa’s] careful projection and portrayed a woman in internal agony. An incredibly perceptive and sensitive portrait, and an inspiration to this music, darkness overcome by a supreme expression of heroic love. This prayer was adapted from a famous mantra from the Upanishads, ancient Sanskrit texts conveying the oldest concepts of Hinduism. I’ve incorporated a translation of the prayer, as well as the original Sanskrit ślokas.” - Mychael Danna
