Shani Diluka is internationally acclaimed as one of the most original and poetic pianists of her generation.
An exclusive Warner Classics artist, her recordings have earned top distinctions including Diapason d’Or, Choc de Classica, Gramophone Selection, and recognition from Arte and Mezzo. Deeply shaped by her Buddhist values, Diluka views music as a path to peace and human connection. Her conceptual albums — from Cosmos (Beethoven & Indian Ragas) to Pulse (classical & minimalist dialogues), from The Proust Album to the most recent Renaissance — reflect her imaginative and interdisciplinary vision.
Born in Monaco to Sri Lankan parents, she embodies a unique cultural bridge between East and West. Discovered at six through a program founded by Princess Grace of Monaco, she went on to graduate with highest honors from the Paris Conservatoire and later studied at the Lake Como International Piano Academy under Leon Fleisher, with guidance from artists such as Martha Argerich, Alfred Brendel, and Murray Perahia.
Her career spans leading venues worldwide — from the Philharmonie de Paris and Wigmore Hall to the Concertgebouw, Ravinia Festival, Verbier, and Elbphilharmonie — and collaborations with top orchestras, quartets, and artists including Gautier Capuçon, Natalie Dessay, and Michel Portal.
Recently knighted Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and named “Cultural Woman of the Year” by Prince Albert of Monaco, Diluka also directs the Académie Rainier III’s excellence class and supports young musicians in Sri Lanka. From 2025/26, she becomes artistic director of the celebrated Concerts du Dimanche Matin at Théâtre du Châtelet.
