Piano: My Favourite Works

A rich reward in music: Whoever has taken piano lessons as a child and dutifully practised scales and gained initial proficiency can probably remember this: The joy of finally being able to play the “beautiful” works of great composers, the pride felt in playing Grieg’s Arietta on the piano for the family to perfection, and the pleasure of having become one with the world of music as a performer. These are true favourites, and not just for pianists!
