Camille Saint-Saëns’ Fantaisie, Op. 95 is one of the most famous pieces ever written for the harp and is here performed by Lily Laskine in the first solo recital she recorded for Erato in 1963. It is coupled with various French romantic and impressionist works by Pierné, Roussel and Fauré, and a transcription Saint-Saëns made of the first partita for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach!
