In memory of Amelia Freedman who sadly passed away the month before this release. In 1965 Amelia founded the Nash Ensemble, which she administered for decades, and which remains a leading chamber music ensemble today, as well as one of the oldest still in activity. Let's take another look at the discography of this key ensemble in British musical life, which recorded several albums for Virgin Classics in the 1980s. This collection also includes excerpts from one of Nash's first recordings, released in 1974 and dedicated to Stravinsky.
