TINE - the new album by Norwegian trumpet virtuoso Tine Thing Helseth

«Every disc is personal, and this one is no exception«, Helseth says. «In a way, you can say that this programme is, for me, a perfect evening of music making, starting with the playful jazz-inspired Intrada by Ibert and ending with the monumental sonata by Hindemith."

TINE features original compositions for trumpet and piano by Ibert, Glazunov, Enescu, Edvard Hagenrup Bull and Hindemith; trumpet and piano arrangements of works by Puccini, Falla, Rachmaninov and Kreisler and Divertimento for solo trumpet by Øistein Sommerfeldt. The bonus digital tracks are Fritz Kreisler’s Liebesleid and Schön Rosmarin. Helseth’s partner is pianist Kathryn Stott, with whom she tours this captivating repertoire in 2013 in Norway, the UK (including Wigmore Hall), Finland, France and the U.S.
