On 'If the Owl Calls Again', Dutch soprano and passionate art song interpreter Christianne Stotijn sings with regular collaborators Joseph Breinl (piano), Tamestit (viola), brother Rick Stotijn, Toon Fret, Olivier Boekhoorn and the Oxalys Ensemble. She presents 21 well-known and less familiar songs, all sharing the fundamental themes of nature and religion. From works by Martin, Ravel and Mussorgsky, to a world premiere by Dutch composer Fant de Kanter, with sung texts in Hebrew, Armenian, Russian, French, English, German and Dutch, Christianne has crafted a beautiful and diverse album.
