Montserrat Caballé - greatest moments of the opera diva on 5 CDs

After her performance in 1965 in New York, when she unexpectedly had to replace Marilyn Horne in Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia, the audience broke into a standing ovation that lasted 25 minutes. Soon after, Montserrat Caballé was to become an opera superstar.
On April 12, Montserrat Caballé will celebrate her 80th birthday. In celebration of this, EMI Classics releases the 5 CD-box "The Sound of Montserrat Caballé", a great portrait of the first "Primadonna assoluta" after Maria Callas.
