Ce coffret de 12CD réunit pour la première fois tous les enregistrements du chef français réalisés avec l’orchestre de Birmingham durant son mandat de chef principal de 1969 à 1978. Ces enregistrements permirent à l’orchestre d’établir sa stature internationale avant l’arrivée de Simon Rattle en 1980. Un coffret qui fait la part belle au répertoire français.
