European Concert of the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle

An annual event of the Berlin Philharmonic is the concert on the first of May, to commemorate the founding of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra on 1 May 1882. This year, the European Concert will take place in the Prague knight's castle.
Conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, the Berlin Philharmoniker will perform Ralph Vaughan William's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, Antonín Dvořák's Biblische Lieder op. 99 with mezzo soprano Magdalena Kožená and Ludwig van Beethoven's 6th Symphony.
