To commemorate 30 years since the death of the legend ELVIS
The disc, featuring the Memphis Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ettore Stratta, sees twelve of Presley’s greatest hits transformed into fantastic orchestral arrangements and boasts guest appearances by several of his former sidemen: guitarists Scotty Moore and Reggie Young, pianist Bobby Wood, bassist Mike Leech, saxophonist Boots Randolph, and harmonica legend Charlie McCoy.
“It was an honour to be asked to add my funky little notes to this album,” said Scotty Moore, Elvis’ original guitarist. “I have just listened to the entire project and I think Elvis would have been extremely proud of the different direction his music has taken. I personally feel a great thrill that the music of which I was a part continues to live on. I hope our original efforts and all the variations will continue to bring pleasure to people for a long time to come.”
