Such is the lasting fame of Oscar Wilde's fairy tales that it is surprising that there are few, if any, musical settings of them. Debbie Wiseman, successful composer of the evocative score for the film Wilde, sets two of the writer's stories to music, creating an expressive extension to the thoughts and emotions stirred by Wilde's words, read here by the distinguished actors Vanessa Redgrave and Stephen Fry.
