Joyce DiDonato as Florence Foster Jenkins at London's Raindance Film Festival

The Florence Foster Jenkins Story will be screened in its international festival premiere in October.

The first international festival screening of The Florence Foster Jenkins Story will be held at the Raindance Film Festival on October 1. The largest independent film festival in Britain, Raindance will screen the documentary feature film starring Joyce DiDonato at the VUE Piccadilly. Tickets and more information are available at the following link.

The real-life, larger-than-life Florence Foster Jenkins was a tone-deaf eccentric, recently portrayed on the silver screen by Meryl Streep. Now, The Florence Foster Jenkins Story mixes fiction and documentary elements in a new film with a major twist: the world's most in-demand mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato takes on the role of the woman widely regarded as 'the worst singer of all time'. Opera superstar Joyce DiDonato makes her cinematic debut as the flamboyant 'queen of dissonance' in this vivid impression of the conflict between inner delusion and external reality.

Joyce DiDonato's new album, In War and Peace: Harmony Through Music, will be released in November.
