Alexandre Tharaud presents 'Autograph'

This enticing collection of encore pieces — some very popular, others exotic — ranges across more than four centuries and comprises both original scores and arrangements.

After his intoxicating evocation of Jazz Age Paris with ‘Le Boeuf sur the toit’, pianist Alexandre Tharaud again proves that good things come in small packages.

“Small musical forms have always attracted me. Of course, I love the Liszt Sonata, long concertos, Wagner operas, but also Chopin’s Préludes. Several of my records are made up of small masterpieces. Jacques Brel showed that a three-minute song can say as much as a symphony.”
