Amour nominated for a Golden Globe Award

Amour, a film by Michael Haneke has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award (Best Foreign Language Film).

Amour, a film by Michael Haneke, recently won the Palme d’Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. It tells the story of an elderly Parisian couple, both distinguished music teachers, played by Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva.

Their star pupil, a pianist, is played by Alexandre Tharaud, who makes his movie debut with this role. He performs music by Schubert, Beethoven and Bach (arranged by Busoni).
